Entry Permit Scheme Launch for 2025-26 Tourism Season

The Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands are pleased to announce that from today we will be accepting applications for Entry Permit Scheme for all who wish to visit South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

The vast majority of people entering South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands for work or visitor purposes will now require an Entry Permit. 

Permits can be accessed through a portal on the GSGSSI website here: https://gov.gs/entry-control-order-permit-application/.

To help you plan your visit, information for Operators, Expedition Leaders and Masters is available through the GSGSSI website and dropbox. We are also now accepting booking notifications for the upcoming season.

All Expedition Leaders and Masters must be familiar with the documentation, and in particular Masters must not allow any person to disembark unless the Expedition Leader has taken and passed the Expedition Leader briefing.
