Happy 25th Anniversary, King Edward Point!

Publication of the UK OT Biodiversity Strategy

GSGSSI welcomes today’s publication of the UK OT biodiversity strategy which reaffirms the commitment of the UK government to work with OT territory governments to conserve, protect, and restore biodiversity in the Overseas Territories and to champion the benefits of nature. The GSGSSI was pleased to work with UK Government and its agencies to develop the OT biodiversity strategy and looks forward to working closely with them to achieve the strategy’s goals .

Entry Permit Scheme Launch for 2025-26 Tourism Season

The Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands are pleased to announce that from today we will be accepting applications for Entry Permit Scheme for all who wish to visit South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The vast majority of people entering South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands for work or visitor purposes will now require an Entry Permit.
